PDF Volt Privacy Policy

1. Our Privacy Promise

PDF Volt processes its core PDF and image operations on your device. The app does not require an account or a PDF Volt server.

The production app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud-upload services. PDF Volt does not sell personal data.

2. Information Handled on Your Device

• Documents and images you explicitly choose, open with PDF Volt, or share to PDF Volt are read only to perform the action you request.
• Recent history may store local metadata such as the display name, local location, file type, size, page count, and last-used time. It does not store document contents or passwords.
• If you enable Device-wide PDF discovery, PDF Volt keeps a private index containing PDF names, locations, folder labels, sizes, modified times, MIME type, signature result, and page count when available. The index contains no PDF contents or extracted text.
• Preferences such as appearance mode and first-launch completion are stored locally on the device.
• Generated files and temporary working copies are kept in app-managed storage until you export, remove, clear, or uninstall them.
• PDF passwords are held only for the active operation and are never saved to preferences, logs, analytics, or recent history.

3. Android Access and Permissions

PDF Volt requests no Internet permission in its production release. Device-wide PDF discovery uses optional Android All files access only after you choose Scan device for PDFs and continue through the explanation shown by PDF Volt.

• The Android system document picker grants access only to documents you select and remains available when device access is denied.
• On Android 11 and newer, optional All files access lets PDF Volt scan shared storage for valid PDFs. The scan checks file metadata and at most the first 1024 bytes for a PDF signature. Android system and protected app-data locations remain excluded.
• You can decline or revoke All files access. PDF Volt then stops device scanning without deleting its private Recent history.
• The Android Photo Picker or gallery grants access only to images you select. PDF Volt does not request full photo-library access.
• Open with and Share to PDF Volt provide access only to files you send through Android.
• Save, Print, and Share use Android system interfaces only after you choose those actions and destinations.
• Android may add an app-scoped, non-exported receiver permission to protect internal components. It does not grant PDF Volt access to personal files, sensors, or other apps.

4. How Information Is Used

Selected files, local metadata, and preferences are used only to provide PDF viewing, creation, conversion, organization, security, printing, sharing, recovery, and storage-management features.

5. Sharing and Third Parties

PDF Volt does not automatically transmit documents or personal data to InnoVista Labs or data brokers. A file leaves PDF Volt only when you explicitly export, print, open, or share it.

When you choose another app, print service, or storage provider, that destination handles the file under its own privacy terms. PDF Volt uses third-party software libraries locally to provide app features.

Some existing-PDF operations use the Syncfusion Flutter PDF library locally on your device. PDF Volt does not use this library to send your documents, document names, or passwords to Syncfusion.

6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

• Original input files are not modified by default.
• Temporary files are removed after operations where practical and can also be cleared from Settings.
• Recent metadata remains on the device until you clear Recent history or uninstall the app.
• The device PDF index is rebuilt only after a completed scan. A failed or cancelled scan keeps the previous completed index.
• App-managed outputs remain until you remove them or uninstall the app. Copies exported elsewhere remain under your control.
• Uninstalling PDF Volt removes its private app data through Android; it does not delete copies you exported to another location.

7. Security

PDF Volt keeps managed data and its optional metadata-only device index in app-private storage, avoids password persistence, and performs bounded cleanup. File access is limited to Android picker grants or the optional access you enable. No software can guarantee absolute security, so keep independent backups of important documents.

8. Children

PDF Volt is a general document utility and is not directed to children. Because the app has no account, advertising, analytics, or server collection, it does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

9. Google Play Data Safety

PDF Volt does not collect or share user data as those terms apply to the app's production data-safety disclosure. All core processing is on-device; user-initiated exports and shares go only to the destination the user selects.

10. Policy Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when PDF Volt features or Android access requirements change. The updated policy will be posted here with a revised date.
