HSK Learn Chinese is published by InnoVista Labs. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Chinese Testing International, the Chinese Test Service Website, MDBG, CC-CEDICT, or any HSK trademark owner.

HSK names and level labels are used only to identify the vocabulary curriculum supported by the app. All third-party names, trademarks, and source materials remain the property of their respective owners.

2. Educational-Use Notice

Definitions are concise learning aids, not exhaustive dictionary entries or certified translations. A word's meaning can vary by sentence, region, register, and context.

HSK Learn Chinese is not a substitute for professional linguistic, legal, medical, financial, or other specialist advice. Users should verify important translations and decisions with an appropriate authoritative source.

3. HSK Membership and Order

HSK 1–4 membership and order are derived from the New HSK 1–4 Vocabulary List published on the Chinese Test Service Website. The cumulative source lists were transformed into non-repeating app levels containing 150, 150, 300, and 600 words.

4. Dictionary Fields and Meanings

Simplified and traditional forms, pinyin, and source English definitions come from the pinned CC-CEDICT release published by MDBG. InnoVista Labs adapted the display meanings into concise international English while retaining every exact source definition.

CC-CEDICT-derived fields and the adapted display meanings are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.

5. Pronunciation Recordings

Bundled 64k HSK pronunciation recordings come from audio-cmn. Yue Tan is the speaker and recording author; Hugo Lopez managed the project, compression, and renaming; Nicolas Vion provided recording software and technical support.

The imported recordings remain under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 United States.

6. Stroke-Order Graphics

Offline stroke vectors are derived from Make Me a Hanzi by Shaunak Kishore. The graphical data ultimately derives from Arphic PL KaitiM GB and Arphic PL UKai and is redistributed under the Arphic Public License. The complete licence text is bundled inside the app.

7. Chinese Font

Noto Sans CJK SC Regular version 2.004 is bundled for consistent Chinese-character rendering under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
